So it is very dangerous to allow any drive autoplay on its own, specially USB drives. So we must disable USB, CD/DVD drives Autoplay as quick as possible. To view and understand step by step guideline for disabling Autoplay of any removable drives such as CD, DVD, Pen drives etc; just read and follow the points given below:-
  1. Click on Start button and go to Run.
  2. In the Run Command Box type GPEDIT.MSC and press Enter.
  3. Go to Computer Configuration,  then on Administrative Templates and atlast System.
  4. Locate the entry for “Turn autoplay off“.
  5. Now double click on it.
  6. Then click on Enable.
  7. Select All Drives to disable all drives including USB drives or only CD Rom drive.
  8. Now click on apply.
